If you remember not too long ago, I said I was going to take some time away from listing things in my Etsy shop, taking photos, and, in general, fretting about my blog. I was going to have some "Fun Days" playing with my beads.....
Well, I didn't do too much giggling.
I labored and labored. And then after one especially irritating, frustrating, and aggravating afternoon, I suddenly regained my senses and found myself in a dark alley. It was an unfamiliar place. I had no idea how I had arrived, and I certainly didn't belong. I definitely knew I shouldn't be there.
It was "The Land of Someone Else's Art".
Now I'm not talking here about pushing your boundaries or taking a class to learn or perfect a new technique. That is all fine and good. I am talking about me trying to make jewelry I shouldn't be making. It smacked of pieces I had seen in magazines and on the Internet. True, I really loved the style. Thought the components were awesome. But it just wasn't me.
I quickly packed up and returned to "The Homeland".
It seems that I have to learn this lesson the hard way every once in awhile. Maybe some day I will be smart enough to learn it for good.
I took the jewelry that was giving me such pains apart.
I didn't do it gently.
Now that part WAS fun....
So..........
Yesterday I was busy taking photos. I hope to get some new pieces in my Etsy shop real soon---hopefully yet this week. In the meantime, here is a little sneak peek for you.......
The rich shade of rootbeer! Yumm-O!
Or is jet black more your style?
Nothing but fun. Not to mention easy to wear.
Matching earrings, anyone?
One of my all-time favs. Can't wait to show you more!
So, there is your Etsy Preview. What do you think??
